Best range to launch the car?
Is it better to have the little bog and no spin from a lower RPM launch, or generally would I benefit from going higher in the RPM range to get in the cars powerband even if the drag radials spin somewhat? Is it easier or harder on the clutch to just "pop it" or to slightly ride it out of the hole?
I haven't had a chance to get to the track and if someone who is familiar with which is usually the most successful to a stronger 60ft and lower ET on a drag radial then at least I have something to start with to fine tune once it is on the clock.
Thoughts?
With 4.10s, i'd be surprised if your car bogs at all. Try the minimum rpm that you can leave clean with no bog. In my car this happens around 1400-1500 rpm (3.73 gears with 2.88 1st) 10.74 overall ratio.
In you car 4.10 * 2.68 = 10.98 overall. You have a little more gear overall. See what happens with 1400 rpm. Work up from there.
