Default Fuel pressure Regulator

Anybody have a tip on how to take off the fuel rail on a LT1 to replace the regulator?

I am not sure if there is any difference in a 94 and a 93 but on the 94 all you have to do is unscrew the 4 bolts on the top. These screws screw into the intake manifold. After removing the screws you have to lift the fuel rail assembly up. You need to disconnect your fuel injectors prior to lifting up as the whole assy will lift up to include the injectors. This is a good time to check and see what the o-rings look like on your injectors. I am at work now and don't have my manual here otherwise I would try to give you a better description of what is involved. Also, when doing it this way, you are supposed to disconect your battery and also take off your gas cap if I am recalling correctly. Good luck with everything and let us know how it turned out.

You shouldn't have to remove the fuel rail. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator on my 95 several years ago and seem to recall it was a 10 minute project with nothing major removed.

Unless the earlier manifold set-up is indeed different in that respect. But I'd really be surprised if it was necessary.

How did you get the bolt holding the regulator to rail out?
