Default EM Header Install

Hey guys. I just got my EM headers the other day from the group purchase that occurred the past month or whatever. I installed them over the past 2 days and I must say everything went smooth. Sorry I dont have any pictures. Cutting up my hands some and yelling curse words didnt really put me in the mood to snap a few this time...but I will try to get some pictures of the finished product up soon. The car is quieter than I thought it would be but at WOT it opens up something fierce. The Hot Cam makes the sound a ton better at idle with the headers.

My question though deals with the A/C Brackets....did you guys delete yours? I put the back support back on it but the brackets that were attached to the header bolts themselves I just removed completely. They just wouldnt fit on the new headers....way too snug. I heard about a vibration and I can totally feel it now...alot...at low idle when the A/C is turned on. Will this be fine or should I worry and figure a way to get better support for the condenser? Thanks guys!!!

I added two of the three support rods back on. EM supplies you with two sleeves to retain the two factory studs (One for the dip stick and one for the alt and ac support rods.) Once you get in there it is obvious which rods work. One goes to the alt and the other to the AC bracket. When I received my headers the sleeves were missing and I called Merle and he provided them to me.

I put 2 of the 3 back on as well. I had to do some grinding on the end of one of the brackets to get it to fit. I haven't noticed any vibrations.

Correct. W/o welding a new one only 2 out of 3 are possible.

You do need them,

a spacer is needed,

and some grinding needs to be done.
