If I were to get a 2600-2800 converter how would this affect a daily driver? How would it be different under normal driving? Also how does it affect reliability? Would I have to worry about the trans and engine life of the car? Would I have to buy a trans cooler? I know it's alot of questions (I don't know much about this stuff), please answer any that you can. Thanks!
I would get the tranny cooler any way, $50 to protect over $1000 in parts is not a bady idea. I went with a 2800 stall, not sure if that was too high, and maybe put me a little above the power band on my stock TPI, however I'm already working on its breathing. The car sure does kick harder when your already moving, and I can crip, almost peel out in second I would go for a 2600-2800 stall, haven't seen a big change in far as ease of use in day to day driving.
My factory torque converter flash stalls about 2400 rpm, and I have no driveabilty issues or heating problems. I read in a post that the 85-86 Vettes had higher stall tq converters and that is the reason the 85-86's still posted same factory 1/4 mile times even though the 87's were up 10 hp.
Speed Demon Motorsports has vigilante converter for $720.95, is this a good price? Which would be the best 2400, 2600, or 2800 stall? The car would be driven normally 90% of the time. I also thinking of getting 3.45 gears at some point, will this affect what would be best? I'm guessing I would want a one w/ lockup? Will the converter put extra wear and tear on engine and trans? I know this is alot questions  but I don't know anything about this stuff.

A little high.. If you look around you can get a Vig. for around $690

Go with the 2400 ...you will have less of a problem with heat.. remember, the higher the stall speed, the MORE heat in the trans..& you wont be on the track that often...I race every week, & have a 2800, & a cooler..Remember even with a 2400, with street tires you will smoke the tires off the line..

my Vig flashes to 3400 It's fine for daily driving best 60' 1.625 had a SLP then blew up the tranny best60' with that 1.702 the vig drop my MPH by about 1 to 2 but I did have my best time by .05 I'd say go with the SLP for about $300
but the PE Vig is good as well no complants so far daily driving I can't tell the difference between them
