Take a look at the trickflow 175s. I'm thinking about upgrading to these myself, budget (wife) permitting. Maybe next year...

If you're going to buy some new heads I would recommend you buy them based on what you plan on doing to the engine later...I.E., Super-Ram, Mini-Ram, etc...

In which case some of the best off the shelf heads I have seen are the Trick Flow Kenny Duttweiler heads, they are a little big for a 350 TPI but would mate up well to a Super Ram or Mini Ram if that's your plan down the road.

If you buy heads for your current TPI intake, then upgrade the intake then you'll also need to do some work to the heads to get the most out of them...no reason to spend the money twice!

If this is an 89 as is in your profile, you do not need new heads. As long as you have TPI on it with the stock exhaust, they are not a limiting factor in your engine.

If you are set on picking bigger heads then you must decide on a future combination.

I will be buying albeit eventually a set of heads fro TPIS they are the Vette 113's(which mine are) This is because I want to keep it all Chevrolet-To keep the integrity of my Vette. They are stock reworked heads(you can have yours done by them too!) and not a bad price at all. Go here http://www.tpis.com/index.php?module...ted+Cyl.+Heads or they also carry AFR heads(check for your app first and call 'em!) http://www.tpis.com/index.php?module...AFR+Cyl.+Heads

Thanks,Matt

you are going to spend $1250 on 113 heads? why? if u get the 113's worked over the integrity is gone. but a set of TFS 195CC for $1239 from summit. you will be happy, and then sell your stock 113's for $450.

Alas! My friend the integrity of the Vette will not be lost for the simple fact that the heads will NOT be after market heads they will still be GM Vette heads and not any other brand! Thus keeping the integrity of the Vette! I had a Chevelle and it did not have any of the OG parts and on my Vette I would prefer to keep it all GM and possibly if I install a cam it will be a ZZ3! Anyway it's just what I've decided to do with the Vette this time around!

Thanks,Matt

Interesting point of view. Personally I would prefer to get the most for the money spent...afterall, there are a lot of aftermarket parts that will not only perform better than OEM parts, but they are sometimes even cheaper than the OEM parts as well. But it's your car and your $$$ so you're more than welcome to spend it how you like!

Don, how is the Cuisinart holding up ? Hate the fact that I miss it. You crack the heads?

Go for some AFR 180's, L98 plug angle.

THink they are around $1400 and change through Jegs

Hey Ron, I will know today if the Heads are OK or not. I have a bad lifter & replacing all of them. Also checking the cam for flat spots ( having this done at a speed shop) If I have a prob w/ the heads I was just checking in advance. Thanks to all for your in put. Donf
