I just replaced the TPS on my 96 LT4. The car has 80k miles and is stock except for an airbox and cat-back.
I need to help the EBTCM learn the new TPS voltage and maybe something else because it is ideling too high. It runs better than before and otherwise seems to have cured a small high RPM miss.
How do I calibrate this new TPS? What tools do I need?
I'll try the battery cable. The service manual says I must use a Tech 1 tool to help the EBCTM learn the new TPS idle voltage. I'd like to know if there is anohter tool or program / laptop setup I can use.
