Default Please recomend book...

I want to understand the basics on scanning and maybe modifing a corvette computer.
Could someone suggest me an easy to understand, down to earth book on this topic? Something like "Scanning for dummies" would be great!

Here are two good ones that I have read:

I have been checking the recomended links and intend to buy the first book recomended by Scott.
I am very greatfull for the support.
It seems like a difficult topic but interesting to understand.
