Took my 91 Vert in to have the programmer that runs the electronic air replaced.Mechanic moved Vert with passenger door open and crunch, $3010 damage. Needless to say I am not a happy camper. Thank goodness the artic white paint is perfect and color match is said to be easy. They are going to re- clear coat the entire car.

I assume they've assured you that they'll fix it or you wouldn't seem so calm. I'd be ready to inflict bodily harm. Tell the mechanic to lay off the wacky-weed while he's working!
It sounds like they're being stand up about the ordeal, so I probably would go back. You know they'll have that hanging over their head each time ya' come in.

Well, mistakes happen, sometimes no matter how careful. If he's genuinely kicking himself over it, and is making it right, then I would consider going back. If it seems like it was due to stupidity/incompetence and is common practice there, rather than just a brain fart, then go elsewhere.
