Ok, I screwed up bigtime, while putting the hose back onto the accumalator I stripped the threads. Can these hoses be rethreaded or do I have to buy a new one?
It is the hose going to the evaporator.
Thanks,
The big dummy
I had the lower A/C hose that goes from the evaporator core to the condenser go bad. I checked with the local hydraulic hose place, but had no luck. I found a custom A/C shop that changed the bad end for me. So, if the hydraulic place can't help, maybe a good A/C shop can. They do make after market parts for custom applications. Good Luck!

I just did the same thing about 2 months ago... If this is the Evap to Accumulator hose you will have a snowballs chance in hell of finding it... None of the big boys will have it (Ecklers, Corvette Central, etc...) The only place I found that had one is http://www.corvettepartsman.com/ Mine cost $39 I see now he's up to $80 The only other option you have is to take it to a AC place like Max Air http://www.maxaircolorado.com/ and they could cut your pipe and reinstall a new fitting, then braze it together again. Cost about $75. This was my last resort, but since I found my hose for $39, I wanted NOS instead of being brazed....
The problem is, a 93 is a one year only part.... Good luck finding it....
Man, the 93 should be called the one year wonder. There are so many one year only parts on this car.
Turned out, the new accumulator was stripped, I put the old back on and the hose went right on.
Thanks everybody for your responces.

I have a 1982 Collectors Edition, also. It's the only car of that year to use a hatch. Everything on that car is a one part wonder. It's a total nightmare. What I've learned over the years is to never buy a 1st year or last year production of any vehicle (or the 1st year of a change of interior, motor, etc) unless you plan to hold on to it for value or get rid of it later. Production runs in the middle seem to use more common parts, & remain more interchangable. They're more practicle for driving over the long haul.
