I was driving today all of a sudden service ASR and SERVICE ENGINE SOON lights came on permanent along with the SYS and SECURITY flashing about every 5 - 10 seconds also the temp and oil gauge on the led read LO as long as the SYS was flashing .
Sounds like a similar issue I'm fighting right now. There's a lot of good info about ECM/CCM issues already out there, but you can check out what I've been doing and see if it helps at all: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1465039
It's always a good idea to post what year your car is.
The ECM/PCM changed in '94.
When I had this problem, the symptoms, after the engine warmed up, were:
1) SES light on.
2) Security light flashing.
3) C68 climate control LED blinking.
4) ASR light on.
5) If a scan-tool was connected when the problem exhibited itself, there was a "communications failure" on the serial link.
My problem was corrected by replacing the ECM.
A key symptom was the car ran fine until the engine warmed up and heated the ECM under the hood.
This seems to be a common problem with the ECM before the '94 model.
Since this problem is intermittent, it isn't unusual to get a refurbished ECM with the same problem. The technician checks it on the bench for some time and doesn't find a problem, so he checks it off as good and it is resold -- problem and all.
