700 R4

My 84 has the 700 R4 transmission and fluid is leaking from the pan. Not an issue, that can be repaired quickly.

Looking at the front of the pan, left hand corner, the threads of the housing are striped, has been since I bought the car 3 years ago. The fellow has a nut and bolt in that one pan hole. What size is the actual bolt? I want to tap the threads out to the next size before replacing the gasket.

Take off one of the other remaining pan bolts. By having the bolt, you will then know the thread size of all the pan holes. Then use a Heli-Coil.
