Default Testing o2 sensors

In 101 corvette projects it mentions testing the o2's using a scan tool. Is there anyway to use datamaster for this?

Yes,

Check to make sure they sit around 450 mv with the car off key on and cold engine.

The other thing to check is to make sure they move up and down easily. If they sit on one voltage (after they are hot) they are bad.

Do they have to be plugged into the cars pigtail or is it ok to check that with the sensor on my bench?
