What does it tach at 80mph. A 2.59 will tach at 2000 rpm.
Jack it up get both rear tires off the ground and mark the driveshaft and spin the rear wheels by hand. Count the turns of the driveshaft. Or the easier way get the Rpo codes off the inside of your console door. Here are the codes
GM1= 2.59
GM3= 3.45
GT7= 3.33
GU2= 2.73
G44= 3.07

Look at the RPO codes, post any that start with "G"

You could also post the rpm you run at 70mph in OD.

If it is stock, a '90 coupe with auto trans should have had the 2.59D36. The '90 roadster with auto would have had the 2.73D36.

With 3.07s, even stock, your car should be fast out of the hole, IF you can get traction. With normal street tires you should be able to light them up easily.
