Default rear barke pads

I have a 94 vette LT1 anyone have any suggestions on what brand and type of brake pads to install. I use the car as a weekend driver. Not looking to change the rotors,85000 miles on car.

Been a lot of posts on this subject. I am currently using Performance Friction Z pads on the rear on my '96...they work. A lot of folks like the EBC green pads, I think you can get those at Tire Rack now, a local parts chain is starting to source them also, Advance or Autozone I think. To be honest, for non-race use you won't be able to tell much difference between any good brand of pad. I have just started using the local O-reilly's parts store's recommended pads on my '73 w/no issues. I think they're Borg Warner brand. I changed them out due to serious squealing with some cheap pads. As long as you stay away from the really cheap pads, like Autozone's house brand and the like, you'll be fine IMHO.
Good Luck

I use AC-Delco ceramic pads. I love them!

I would offer that my experience (so far) with EBC Green on another car with FWD is ok. Good stops, a little more dust than what I see in ceramic pads but not as much as the stock pads, a very light squeal at almost stopped braking, etc. The light squeal by the way, lasted for about the first 20K miles!!! Doesn't do it any more.

I put in new Brembo solid rotors (no slots, no holes), too, at the same time. So far, I think I have almost 50K miles on them and they stop very well.

Next time, on either car (Corvette or daily driver), I want to go ceramic and high quality at that. That goes for the rear brakes as well. Hope this helps you.

Ceramic pads on all 4 wheels while it's up on the stands. I use Raybestos. AC Delco or PFC from Autozone have excellent reviews too.

No noise, hardly any dust and they stop better and better as the heat up.
