Ok why does each and every code have multiple meanings.
87 Vette throwing code 36 how do I deterine wether it's the Maf of Maf burn off relay, or this DIS fault or ignition loss of high resolution thing, and what are those last two?
Which one of the two relays behind the battery is the maf burn off relay?

If you run the test in the Manual, then it'll tell you what is bad.
But if you need to replace a relay, you replace BOTH, dont just do one....they are not expensive.

The code number only tells you what device sent the info that didn't conform to the parameters programmed into the electronics. It doesn't describe the circumstances or what part, if any, that failed, to cause the code. That is why I preach, "Don't shoot the messenger". The codes only do half the work. Now, it is up to you to follow the trouble shooting charts in your FSM to isolate the cause of the code.
