Default Now thats coooooooooooooool!

I finished my radiator clean up this past weekend and took the blue monster for a ride

After a good washing and a flush of the cooling system here are the results I had.

Stop and go traffic Saturday with the AC blowing cold and outside air temp of 89d the monster didn't get above 209d

Sunday's highway run had an outside air temp of 91d and the monster only hit 197d

If you read my other post you would have seen that the motor was climbing up to and past the 230d mark....not good

I'm very pleased with the results. Now, its off to Carlisle on Friday morning

So you just had to remove the radiator shroud and hose out the space between the radiator and condensor? Was there much debris in there?

No debris...just a thick layer of dog fur on the front of the left side of the rad where the main cooling fan is.

The nose of the Vette is like a vacuum, so after three years of starting the Vette up in the garage...any and all fur floating on the floor was sucked up onto the face of the rad

Don't get me wrong...I vacuum out my garage every month its just that I have two dogs that shed like crazy...brush them, wash them, clean them up...they still shed and after a few years that all adds up to a blocked up rad front

I guess I'll have to vacuum out the garagemahall twice a month
