1995 OBD 1 or 2???
Hey ALL
I just purchased a 95 auto and I see that it has the OBDII connector but I also understand that the computer is OBD1.
I think 95 was the year they began changing things.
How do I know if it's 1 or 2 and what scanner do you all recommend for this???
Thanks in advance for all your responses

95 has a 16 pin ALDL (OBDII), but has the ODBI system.
This with a laptop and TunerPro RT has worked good for me.

I believe the Auto Xray code reader has an adapter for both OBD I and II applications. AutoZone sells them.
It's an effective tool at pulling stored codes and analyzing real-time data like 02 sensor activity, etc....

I have the autoxray unit but it has the OBD1 connector. I'll try to find the adaptor for it.

It is technically OBDI, but has most of the OBDII hardware.
