Have them in silver. Love them. Best G-note I ever spent. BTW, one wheel was delivered dented courtesy of UPS. AFS replaced it free of charge and they did all the claim work with UPS! I was impressed!
Ordered a chrome set back in March. On two of the wheels you could see where the buffer went too deep in the surface on the A-post. One is barely noticeable, but the other I returned at my shipping cost. They sent me another one all dented up on the back side from being thrown around; (which is not that big of a deal, but when you spend over $2,000.00 for a set they should be at least 90% defect free). I returned that one and after about 12 phone calls still have not seen the replacement. They state that they are DOT approved, and have a load rating stamped on the back, but they have not been rated by the strict German standard; (very few wheels do get that rating, only BBS, Fikse, HRE, and the likes). Corvette Mike in So. Cal will not carry AFS because when they asked to see the DOT inspection, AFS wheels would not divulge the report/rating. Anyways, they look like good castings, and are better; (front & back), than some of the other "knock-off" A-mold wheels I have inspected first-hand like those at Performance Wheel Outlet. Also, if you were thinking about chrome, AFS wheels only warranties their chrome for 1 year, Corvette Mike's 3-5 years. They are definitely not perfect wheels like Fikse, or HRE's, but then they don't cost $4,000.00 a set. Check out http://www.kinesismotorsport.com, they have some nice wheels also.
I have the polished ZR1 replica wheels from AFS. Been using them for 2 years with no problems. Customer service was ok and they shipped in about 3 weeks. Price was about $1700 with wheels/tires/delivery.
I thought about them but I'm getting the stock GM GS wheels from Ken at Fitchner Chevrolet for $372 each because they are forged. Forged rims are lighter and stronger. I live in the NYC area. Japanese car companies come here and make plaster molds of potholes to get the true worst case scenarios. For a couple of hundred bucks I'd rather get the forged over the knockoffs.

I have a set of the polished. When I first got them one of them had some waves in it which I didn't like. They send me a replacement right away with a return shipping label. Great wheels.
AFS gets a lot of good comments on this forum. You should check e_bay, AFS usually has something up for auction and from what i can see they usually go for several hundred less than a straight order.
Got the chrome ZR-1 Repo wheels, about 3-4 years ago. Returned one wheel due to the copper showing thru the chrome. They sent replacement wheel right away. Would buy from them again.
thats why i am asking about these wheels, saw them on ebay with tires, kuhmo, going for a real cheap price. was wondering if they were using seconds or belmished wheels??
I have been thinking about the polished versus the chrome. To me, the chrome are almost "too bright." Do the polished wheels from AFS come with any clear coat over top them, like the other polished wheels from GM are? I cant tell from their website. Otherwise, do you just use a metal polish on them every so often?
i watched afs wheels on e-bay for several weeks. if they are selling blems they will definately say so. they get high marks on ebay . what you will notice however is the price will seem very low until a few minutes from expiration. then, usually two or three people battle it out. still, they seem to go for a few hindsred less than a regular order. i ultimately bought my wheels from west coast corvette. they had almost the lowest price and also had a three year warrenty on the chrome. i had kumho tires mounted by a local dealer. very happy with both wheels and tires.
I was considering chrome too, but I thought they were too flashy. My rims are just polished, no clear coat. I do believe they offer you the option to have them polished and then clear coated. As for metal polish, I've had these wheels for over a year now, and haven't polished them yet. I just use zaino on them once in a while.
