Default Intake swap

We have a big mouth intake for a 89' L98 that we are putting in our 87'. The 87' has (2) tempature sending units on the very front of the intake along with the water outlet. The 89' intake only has ONE tempature sender and the water outlet on the front of the intake. Can anyone tell me which sending unit I really need to hook this up? We will have the chip modified by PCMforLess as soon as we can figure out which one we really need. Thanks gang WRO87

If you're planning to retain the cold start injector, you will need both.

the sender that you really need is the smaller one that talks to the ecm...the bigger sender is for cold start (ninth injector) only--it only works for 8 sec on cold start at best--you can (should?) not use the ninth injector anyway ( s.o.p. on race motors is always crank for oil pressure before you light it)...no codes will throw up if you just leave it unhooked....ran my 86 with it unhooked for years, current lt1 intake has no ninth inj, stock prom--no problem, cranks 3-4 sec on stone cold start
