the rear should have 285/40/17 on there. Somebody got cheap and put smaller tires all the way around it seems.

Bridgestone RE's are good, so are Kumho's for a cheap tire.

I've got Firestone SZ50's. Supposed to be one of the best you can get.

Shouldn't it be 275/40/17?

Brand really doesn't make a huge difference, just go and buy a good quality high performance tire. Check around at http://www.tirerack.com and take their tests seriously. Some of the customer comments I could laught though, especially about the Wilderness AT.

Hmmm.... had to look up my notes again.... Z51 cars had 275/40/17 at all four corners, base suspension cars had 285's in the back, and 255's up front. Oh, and the 255 tires were 255/45/17.....
