Default Hawk HPS vs. ceramic

Any thoughts on the Hawk ceramic pads compared to the HPS pads?

Ceramics have virtually no brake dust. If your not using the car for autocross or anything like that, go with the ceramics.

Hawk says themselves that the ceramics aren't as good performance wise.

i'm using the HPS and yes there is some brake dust but not much to be an issue. the stoping power is fantastic though. i use them with powerslot rotors.

I have the HPS with Baer Eradispeeds on my '95 which of course has the J55 brakes.

My '93 has the Hawk Ceramics with Baer Decelerotors and standard brakes.

The '95 stops much better, but my guess it's due more to the better rotors and bigger brakes rather then the pads them selves.

Neither gives off much noticeable dust.

Note that ceramic pads do give off dust, but it's finer particles and harder to see, but the dust is there.

I use the Hawk Ferro-Carbon pads. Crazy stopping power, but lots of dust.

Also, most Hawk's are know to squeel. its not a problem, its just something they do. They did this for a while on the Vette and my wife's Altima, but they stopped after a while.
