vigilante and tranny temp question

vigilante and tranny temp question
Does anyone have a vigilante tc in the 2400 + stall range and a trans temp gauge(pan or outgoing line) and use it as a daily driver- not just for racing? How much hotter does it run????? I'm seriouslly considering a tc swap from my current "Heavy Duty" 2100 stall tc when I pull the diff for a rebuild, but I need to keep it drivable and not keep going through trannys. Thanks for any info.

ttt; anyone? Mackeyred96? you've got the 3000 stall vigilante-do you have a temp gauge? any heat problems? Also John Panuzzo- I just saw you'd made a comment in a previous post about launching technique without heating up the tranny-temps??? Any input appreciated!

I have a 96.. with a 2800 Vigilante, & an aftermarket cooler.. My car comes with a trans temp guage.. on a 90+ deg day if I'm on the highway.. 50+ mph & its locked the temp. is 190 - 200 deg.
If I'm around town, or under 50mph & its not locked.. it will go to 210-215.. & going UP a long HILL,, at 30 mph I'll see 220 TOPS..
