Ruby Red Center Caps....What The Heck Is She Talking About??

Ruby Red Center Caps....What The Heck Is She Talking About??
Went to a show yesterday with my Ruby Conv. Was approached by a couple who stated that they too owned a Ruby Conv. and were the original owners. The woman then went on to point out that while her center caps were also ruby in color, hers had the 40th Logo and not the C4 Logo on them. ??? I have only seen Rubies with the C4 ruby red center caps. Is she mistaken, or are mine wrong?? :crazy: Thanks.

According to the Black Book the package included "special wheel center trim." I don't know what that means, though.

What that means is that the center caps are Ruby colored and not silver in color like the rest of the '93's. What is in question is the emblem that appeared (stock) on them. I placed a phone call to Corvette America this morning as they happen to sell these caps. I asked about the emblem on the caps and was told that they have the C4 Logo on them - that's what I thought they SHOULD have.
So, back to my original question....what the heck is she talking about?? :crazy:

i have no idea what she is talking about.. i am assuming she means hers have the 40th logo with the ruby back round instead of the corvette cross flag symbol..
the only caps that came on the rubies were the corvette cross flag in chrome with the ruby back round-- i suppose some one could make what she described but it didn't come from gm that way..

Boy, this keeps getting worse. :crazy: Shouldn't the emblem on the center caps be the C4 emblem and not the crossed flags emblem? :eek:

I'm looking at my 1993 Ruby Red, and it has the C4 logo. I'm sure the previous poster meant the C4 logo, and not the crossed flags. As for your lady that told you she had the 40'th logo on the center cap...never seen it. Check out http://www.40thregistry.com (and register if you haven't yet!) and see what everybody there thinks.

I sort of wondered that myself....when I asked her about her car having some specific options, she had no idea what I was talking about. :confused: I was just trying to make conversation, but that was difficult.

She's probably confused and has a DRM car that someone tried to pass off as a ruby.
