I agree completely. this is why we dont put alot of value in the actual #s, more in HOW it makes compression. All the motors we build have the compression calculated very accurately. To me its more important than degreeing a cam. Actually now that i think about it, its probably the most important check. how can you build someone a motor, especially if its not one that you do everyday, and not check the compression accurately?
