Default Questions about Fuel Injectors.

I am replacing the stock injectors with 30lb injectors at the suggestion of my engine builder, and I have a few questions.

Is there any difference in brand in injectors?

Is flow matching very important? What purpose does it serve?

Can the stock fuel pump supply 30lb injectors?

Thanks!

matching is a tuning trick. It makes sure that all 8 injectors are the same. This makes computer tuning that much easier.

What is happening to your engine that you need 30# injectors?

I would look at the FMS injectors (28# or so). The stock pump should supply it, but I would want to get a better pump if you have that much engine.

If you are not modifying the engine, I would stay with like 28's or so...

Talk to your chip tuner before you buy the injectors, and dont buy Accels.

I am having a 396 520fwhp motor built, and the engine builder recommends 30lb injectors.

Is not the first time I've heard that.
