lights on chime when engine on
What would the likely cause be to this new problem I have:
Light alarm/chimes work fine. ie: engine off and lights on = chime.
But......
Chime still on then engine running. THE WHOLE TIME....
Whats gone wrong?

Couldn't tell from your description but I'll assume the lights are off when this happens? Sounds like a problem with the ignition lock cylinder or key warning switch in the column, sometimes lubrication with spray silicone through the key opening will help but you will probably need to remove the steering wheel to inspect and correct. No - the lights work fine and the chimes come on property to indicate that they are on then the engine is off.
The problem is that the chimes stay on with the lights on and the engine on. ie: when ever the lights are on, the chimes are now on whether the engine is on or off.
