Budget-build stroker with Eagle crank, mild-cam and hyper pistons. I don't have the build sheet in front of me, so I'll have to get all the details later. All the parts, machine-work, media-blasting and assembly came in at just above $2K.
Looks like you'll be porting the stock TPI setup?[/QUOTE]
Don't laugh, but I'm going to keep the porting to a basic clean-up for now. I'm going to see how the edelbrock base and AS&M runners work out for my friend (who is doing most of the work with me and owns a bad-*** 1987 Z28) and maybe go that route. I want to keep things relatively inexpensive...
Heh. I won't be racing the Vette...I already have a much faster Z28 for that. I'll be sure to post the dyno numbers and I'm also sure I'll have lots of questions about rear gears and torque converters soon.
Actually, those pics make the piston dish look a lot bigger than it really is. Must be the flash reflection... I wanted the car to run well on pump gas, so the static is right around 9:1.

I noticed the pistons too. Large popup on the sides, but a large dish as well. Probably going for squish & swirl to concentrate the charge near the plug. NASCAR stuff.
How are you going to incorporate that huge flashing yellow light into the new motor (in the background of one of your pics)? Is it going to flash when you go WOT? LOL
Looks sweeet..best of luck on the new motor!!
Would you put together a complete parts list of what you used? Will be helping on an 87 L98 stroker this winter and be nice to have a working parts list to at least start with.
