Year of vette wasn't posted nor is it in your profile, but I see from a different thread that you have an 1986 vette. If you haven't...I would start with cleaning the IAC and throttle body. Also check the voltage at the TPS. With no codes to go by...you will be looking for things that won't set codes and the IAC and TB are two of them. If this doesn't help try some Seafoam. Other will suggest also.

I'm having the same prob with my 86. Fully stock except for a adjustible FPR, K&N, 160 stat. Starts right up when cold but if I try to rev it a little then it will hesitate or choke itself. I usually let it idle for about 3 minutes and this goes away. I replaced my IAC and checked my TPI voltage. Still no luck....

Maybe it has do to with open loop / closed loop operation on the chip. Have you ever had your chip programmed or tinkered with?

If it happens when it's cold but goes away after 3 minutes or so that's what it sounds like to me. I bet it also happens when warm, just on a restart right?

after it is hot, it helps to give a little gas, but it does not have the hesitation. It is the stock chip

Could your ECM be going bad? I know you said you're not getting any fault codes, but sometimes they can go **** up without throwing codes.
