Steering Wheel Shutter & Air Pump
Finally got my 85 Vet on the road after some interior remodelling and repair work, at least I thought so.
Just as I thought things were alright the steering wheel went into a violent shutter moving the steering wheel from side to side as I was driving. I was about to stop when the shutter went away. Checked the power steering fluid etc. seems okay. I do however other problems engine running rough especially at higher revs, and also have a shoosh sound coming from the air pump surroundings. The sound only happens when the car is warmed up and goes away when it hits about 2500rpm. I did recently disconnect the air pipe from the catalytic converter; new converter didn’t quite reach the pipe work.
Any clues to the problems would be welcomed.
