Look at the top rear of the block on the drivers side (near the distributor), for an intake manifold leak. The top sides of the block will be damp with oil. Also, look at the oil drain plug to see if there is an oil drip there because the intake manifold leak will usually travel down the bellhousing onto the oil pan.
Look at the top front and rear intake manifold torx bolts for coolant which indicates an intake gasket leak.
Make sure all the Digital dash gauge segments light up and are not dim or missing segments.
You may want to do a leak down test before the purchase.
Also you can do an exhaust gas analysis on the coolant to see if any exhaust gasses are present in it.
Our 89 L98's are known to blow the head gaskets.
Not a matter if, but when.
That's about the only BIG thing.
Other little minor issues only.
Good cars, receptive to mods(because it's a MAF car with the 165 ECM).
