WE had a HUGE storm last night and sadly the vette was caught outside.. with a car cover on it tho. (88 convertible) Well today i figured I would do some interior detailing. The drivers side floor had approx 1-2" of standing water....... WHERE did it come from????? how do I stop it? WHAT DID I DO to **** the gods off? Oh and i found a lighter under the seat. Ok another Part of this is, how do i get the seat out? the switches dont move the seat (clicking noises) the drivers seat is stuck back and down.

there are 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor. if the seat wont move then it will take some flexability to reach the bolts. the water may have come from an air vent built into your cover or just a tear somewhere
I have 3 off but i can't see the fourth one. The car corver is in good shape... just really a nasty storm. But how is it getting inside the car? I know I need the bottom corners for the top weatherstripping but When it didnt noramlly rain it never got wet inside, damp but never soaked.
Oh, and i found a quarter for my troubles
The seat is in the back position and down. Any helpful ideas or tips to get the last nut?
Is the cover waterproof or does the exterior of the car get wet when it rains? Was a window left down? Also check to see if its running down the carpet behind the seat.
Carpet feels dry and looks clean, No windows left down, Today was the only day I've very seen water on the car after a rain... Time to clean out the garage
