Hi everyone. Newby here and my 92 LT1 just lost its clutch, and to put it frankly I am lost as to what to do here. I have a fairly limited budget, so I probably can't get the best of the best, but I definately want the most for my money. Looking about 400 dollars or so. I was originally looking at one at NAPA that is an OEM clutch and the top one that they carry, and I have a discount with where I work and can get it about 400.00. I had someone tell me today however to get a 3 disk hopper, which I have no idea what he is talking about to be honest. What is your take? Any recommendations or anything your input is very much appreciated.
A stock or OEM repacement clutch/pressure plate should work just fine in your car. I've heard of many buying their stock replacements from Carolina Clutch.
Bought a complete kit for my 94 LT1 on EBAY from Gripforce for $255 incudes shipping cost - same as sold by carolina clutch. You can call and talk to them - excellent ratings.

Not to hijack the thread but my 92 has same issues. Can you post the part numbers for this from Gripforce?
I just went on their website and could not find info on search.
Thank you very much
I have a 94 LT1 so the kits are probably different from the 92.
I have attached the link on Ebay that takes you to the clutch kit I bought. The P/N is 52802203 and it's Valeo. The kit contains pressure plate, disc, pilot bushing and alignment tool. $255 including shipping. There is a phone number on the bottom of the listing.
I would advise going with the OEM clutch: the dual mass flywheel and pressure plate. I will never buy another centerforce POS You can tacle this job on a focused weekend if you are equipped - sounds like you are. It is not so bad.
