Is there anyone out there who goes with 1 7/8" headers?? I have now Hedman 1 5/8" but they are to small for my supercharged engine.
I have understand that none company has 1 7/8" for C4 as stock item. So I Have to go custom. Anyone who has go custom?? Pictures??
hooker 2151's order from jegs in ceramic coating are 1 3/4 and come with out all the emissions equipment hook-ups, if you are trying to stay smog legal, the 2149's are the same header in 1 3/4" with the smog emissions hook ups. im not sure exactly what you setup is but 1 7/8" headers sounds kind of big for a small block even if your running boost. at some point your going to give up some of the effective tuning designed into the header to scavange the spent fuel and air efficiently to make your best power. also unless your heads are ported considerably to take full advantage of the larger primary tubes, they might be too much for what you really need. but again, i only know that you are supercharged and no more about your setup, you could have a 426CI SBC running 20 PSI boost, so like i said, really need to know what your running to give accurate advice. if it isn't somehting close to this i don't see it being mandated. sit down and justify what you should be looking to buy for it jegs hookers in ceramic are $439, 1 7/8" custom made will be a bit more if made by a professional tuner who knows how to make headers! might be looking at almost 2-3 times that 439!!
just some extra ideas. good luck and post some details of your car, ie track times dyno numbers etc... i love reading signatures to see what my fellow vetters are accomplishing!
