Ok, I just got done spending $450 on my turn signal replacement, and now my Antenna don't go down when i turn the FM/AM off, or even the car. SO should i call contempary corvettes, and get a motor? or should i get one from Mid-America.. Also, has anyone replaced one? if so, how hard is it?
does the motor run and the antenna stays up or no motor at all.
anyway if the motor runs you may be able to replace the mast ... easy and about $40. the motor is a PITA but cost only about $90 at TLD. my 94 may not be the same as the 91 but for refference go at it from the tail lights. remove the license plate then the tail lights. also jack the car and remove the tire. the antenna connection in behind rear the speaker. major pain so replace the mast if you can and if you go to all the effort to remove the motor then replace it with a new one. you may be able to clean/repair the one you have but for $90 and the labor required I'd go new.
