Just had to share this. It's nice and cool with low humidity today in NC and I drove the Vette to work. It is lovin' this air...nice power increase It's just plain hard to keep your foot out of it!
Can't wait to get back to the track this fall! Oh yeah, my Meziere water pump came in the mail today There goes another tenth...
You will like the mezziere pump ! Just be sure, and double sure of the wiring. Always watch your temp guage for the first while just to be on the safe side of overheating. We had a few wiring issues and the car did overheat a few times because the relay went and the fuses a few times
As for the cool air, it IS amazing. WHen i was on the dyno last week, my intake air temps were around 80 degrees, and intake port temps were hovering between 118-122 degrees (sensor in the egr port). On the highway the other night crusing at about 125 km/hr, my intake air temps were 60 degrees, and my Intake port temps were 65 degree. I definitely love the cool air, but love the forced air induction system even more
I believe it was Frank Hawley that said, "The numbers are in the air!" It's pretty crisp in mornings up here in Maine and my '90 feels like a different car.

Thanks for the pointers on the water pump! How hard was it to press the bearing out of the back of the pump housing?
Also, I figured out a pretty neat trick for cooling your motor off at the track. With my scan tool, I can manually command the cooling fans on. This combined with the electric water pump will allow me to circulate coolant and run the fans without the motor running. Nice quick way to cool things down fast.
if i remember right I used a socket that was the right side to even put the pressure and I tapped it out with a rubber hammer. Took 1 firm hit and it popped right out ! Your idea to help cool is great, just make sure your battery is in good shape to handle it when the car is off
