This may or may not be helpful, but make sure you are starting at the rear of the car and working toward the engine....mufflers first, then Y pipe, then to the cat. Keep it all loose until it is all on. A lot of cat back systems don't fit right if you start at the cat and work back.

you just said 2 opposite things
But anyhow, Don't feel alone. This is absolutely normal for exhaust systems. if some people just bolt it up and say it fits fine so be it. I've seen people say that and their tips are crooked and they stick out different lengths from the bumper and all sorts of other stuff is wrong. It all depends how much you pay attention to the little details. I'm picky, and I've already been through 3 exhaust systems and the last one is yet to be done. I've taken it back 3x already and the shoppe who installed it is working with me to get it where we want. And yes , he does use spacers under the diff and between other places to get the pipes where we want. It makes a BIG difference. I'm not sure about the corsa but the B&B can be adjusted and moved a million ways and you'll always get different positioning with the mufflers. Just takes time, patience and a good eye. good luck !

Seems like it would be impossible to install the Corsa starting at the mufflers. But I haven't tried it, so who knows.
Actually, Diel, you might want to re-read what I wrote. It does make sense...just not to you...a friend told me about his Corsas and just passing it on. Another tip - go Borla...they fit the first time
If you know that, then what is the point of the thread? If you're just venting, then take it to OT...
Roughly 1/2"
The point of this thread was to learn whether or not my experience with the Corsa install was typical. And actually, I was concerned that my Corsa was not manufactured properly (now that would be a surprise).

Actually You're right my apologies. And I couldn't agree more. Working from the mufflers back is the best idea. When I plan on cutting my B&B system up to install resonators and mufflers everywhere (4 of them) I'm going to start with the mufflers where I want them, then tack weld everything in place going towards the front of that car. Sorry I did read ur post wrong. happens when you sleep at 730am every night after spending all of the empty hours on the highway at insane speeds
I completed my Corsa install this weekend. I attached the bottom of the center muffler rear spring hangers to the top of the center muffler mounting flange (instead of "scoop" mounting the flange as intended by GM) to gain adequate clearance at the diff and everything lined up fine. I doubt that this will ever pose a problem.
The Corsa eliminated the nasty resonance that I had with the flowmasters and the entire exhaust note sounds better to me especially as the engine revs past 4000 rpm. I'm very surprised as to how quiet the exhaust system is even with the LT headers. I was expecting it to be at least as loud as my stock exhaust system/manifolds in my '02 Z06. It is definitely quieter than the Z at all throttle settings. Overall, I am happy with the system.
One thing that I noticed after I drove the car was that the tips on both mufflers appear to extend out past the bumper farther (about 3/8 inch). I assume that this happened when the system got hot. I thought something had moved, but everything seems tight and looks to not have moved. Is there that much heat expansion with stainless? If not, maybe the engine mounts are allowing some fore and aft movement of the engine? If so, is this normal? I did not notice this with the OEM tips, but I never really paid attention to them.
