Does anyone see any problem with running the McLeod master cylinder travel with the stock clutch?

I like my McLeod twin, it's a killer clutch for sure.

If it is only a few thousandths, I'd agree...not be a problem.
Either way, I would almost guarantee that it is less than .1. Even if it was as much as .25 I don't see why it would cause a problem.
If you are super concerned about it, you could replace your master with a stocker and use the modified pivot ball from Exotic Muscle when you install the twin. The pivot ball is cheap, less than $50 if memory serves.
I don't think McLeod sells the kit without the master, so you could just throw the McLeod master in your tool box next to the stock pivot ball. If your new stock master ever dies, you'd have everything you needed to go to the McLeod set-up.
I went through the master cylinder Hell with McLeod that the little note you have there is referring to. Unless McLeod has found another supplier (someone other than CNC) I would probably recommend using the stock stuff with the modified pivot ball. Like I said, if the stocker ever fails, you'll have everything you need to swap over. If you do get the McLeod master, pop it apart and make sure it has the right piston in it, the spring is facing the right way, the cup seal isn't torn, and that the piston seal is intact.
Good luck, and report back on how you like the twin. Your interpretation of the added noise level would be great!
