what ever the cfm rating is, you can safely assume it's not engough to keep your car cool. i have an aftermarket derale 16inch fan with a 2800cfm rating with a dewitt dual one inch core radiator, and it still gets to about 210 in the summer with 105 degrees. i will be switching to dual fans next summer.

Don't be to hasty, my 2 speed unit is getting closer, just have to choose which aluminum billet. Your looking at around 1500-1800 on low, and 3500-4000 on high. That way when on low, with it will be most of the time, it pulls 18 amps. on high it pulls 40 amps constant, with a turn on spike of 130 amps for 1-2 milliseconds, but I have a circuit that will keep the fan from drawing that 130 amp bump. It involves some delay circuitry, and so on. It's just money keeping me from getting it done, and on my 88 to test it... I'm also in the middle of massive garage remodel, and working on my vette, but by summer you can bet it will be up, and running. High power + good looks, at least I am hoping... Thanks...
Thanks for the replys I was thinking of fitting two fans on the rad, one 14" and one 10" as there isnt enough room to put two 14"s , the 10" is rated at 1250 CFM and the 14" at 2000 CFM.

I don't know if you came w/two fans or not. If not, your going to be hacking up your car. Keep in mind, Manufacturers are well known for over rating there fans. Take Care...
