Lost Timming Marks Help!!!
I am posting this here in case any can help aslo posted in tech spot alot info there. We can not find the timing marks on the crank. we have used 4 diffent timing marks and can not find it at all no matter what rpm we use. It could be dialed in yesterday, but changed out runners and just put the cap on now can not set timming

Did you remember to disconnect the EST. After base timing is set...my 87s at 8* and you reconnect the EST...the timing now, if checked with a timing light will be somewhere around 20-22*, so you won't see it at the indicator, unless you disconnect the EST again.

After double checking and checking again it now seems that the harmonic balancer has shot craps
! I talked with gorden K at FUNFEST and it does happen more that you think. The car will run but can't set timing with the est unpluged and when it is plugged in can not see any marks anywere it is coming loose. Any recommeddations as far as new balancer to use? thanks wro
