Just installed a new tranny cooler. Instead of mounting it on the condenser as the instruction indicted. I made some brackets and mounted off the upper radiator support and the bottom cross piece. Worked out great. There is about 1” clearance between the condenser and the tranny cooler and there was plenty of room to rout the hoses to the steel lines. Looks like there will be plenty of air flow for each cooler. The 90 and up models have the radiator sloped back and it provided an easy way to mount it. I posted some pics of the install just in case someone was thinking of doing it and need some ideas.
Nice installation! How much of a diffrence in temperature does it make? I've been thinking of doing the same thing. I have a 96 with an oil cooler in about the same area, so I'll have to modify a bit.

I made brackets and bolted mine in too. I don't remember the exact temperature reduction but it was significant. They're a worthwhile addition to any automatic equipped vehicle. Unlike an engine, you almost can't get an automatic too cool. A cooler trans = longer life.
The cooler is a Flex-a-lite model 4112. I picked it up at our local spped shop K-S auto. I had a gift certificate from Fathers Day I need to use and when I had my tranny rebuilt by Competition transmision he suggested getting one. So i figured it was time. I wasn't sure what size to get. This one says it's for standared duty with a GVW of 12,000, so I fiqured it ought to work. If any one out there knows how to size one I would like to know.

I don't know if you plumbed it inline or as a stand-alone. But it appears to be of adequate capacity to work either way. Mine's probably a bit smaller but I put it inline after the radiator cooler. And I'm sure that temp reduction was (at least) a minimum of 30*.
