Default Low tire pressure warning system light

I have a 1994 coupe.

the service the low tire pressure warning systen light comes on after I have been driving the vehicle for a while.

It never comes on when I start the vehicle. Even if the vehicle has been driven for a while and the warning light has been on, once I stop the vehicle and then restart the vehicle the warning light will not come on for about 15 minutes.

It never comes on until the vehicle has been driven for a while.

I have kept a really good check on the tire pressure and that does not seem to be a problem. If I set the tire pressure at 32 pounds it stays that way.

Any thoughts?

RTFM. That light has nothing to do with tire pressure.

It goes on to describe situations in which the light will be triggered even though the system is working fine.

If you're not causing one of those situations, then get out your shop manual and start following the diagnostic procedures for the LTPWS.

i too have a 94 and the light comes on. sensors are bad and it will cost about $700 to fix or just disconnect the light behind the display panel....and continue to watch your tire pressure.

...also remove the sensors when you have new tires put on next time. I hear it's just a band with a sensor that goes around the inside of your wheel and uses an RF signal to transmit the tire pressure.

You should always check the pressure anyway regardless of this crappy system, so i'd just remove what you can of it and not bother fixing it. it's a dumb idea.

Now, the newer systems that actually TELL you what each tire's pressure is would be worth having
