Swapping a MAF Engine Into a MAP Car
Some of you may have read that my 86 was side swipped by an 18 wheeler, so now I'm looking for a replacement.
I'd like to swap my engine, which is set up for a MAF, into a later model Vette which will probably be MAP.
I know virtually all my existing engine stuff will swap right over, but I'm wondering about the MAF to MAP change.
Had anyone done this? How much is involved?

It should just be an issue of programing. Your old engine will go into the new car and you'll set up your old engine as a speed den. system using the electronics (i.e. harness, sensors and ECM) from the new car there by eliminating yopur MAF altogether. Get a chip burned fro your new ECM fro all the mods you've done. Esentially it's the same thing as modding a SD car like yours and getting it tuned.
