detailing his work to fit the stock volume HSR plenum down over the
runners. LD85 modified an HSR plenum this summer with fairly
extensive machine work and welding - it is operational but he has
remarked that he intends to revisit the plenum over the winter season.
SloRVette has a stock dimensioned HSR with an opening in the hood.
A ToledoPro/Melrose 2-3/4" hood should fit over a stock HSR. In my
opinion, an HSR on an L98 ought to have the runner length extended
through the addition of divided spacers between the runners and the
plenum.
Here is a thread with some items that may be required for the install.

BTW, from @ 3500 it pulls very very strong! All the way up to 140MPH, don't ask me how I know
It will take me quite a bit of time to machine a sub plate with the bell mouth and 2" adder in the floor of the plenum, the rest is just fab-aluminum welded to the base, if the track runs turn out well or comparable to the Miniram times that I had before, then I wont waste anymore time on the plenum.

and 2" adder in the floor of the plenum...
Say 3/8" or so in dia.
This would be easy to shape and a cinch for 'ol RJ to join to a riser made
of sheet stock. Stick to the K.I.S. principal - from what I've seen so
far, you could be done and on the road inside of two hours, three tops.

He sells it complete, ready to bolt on, already powder coated. The last time I spoke with him, he had the parts on the shelf but not fully assembled.

Adding 2" to the plenum floor takes the top of the bellmouths virtually up to the bottom of the lid, so I need to lay it all out before i get started,
But in a nutshell, I think I will use a solid aluminum base with sheet metal sides and lid welded together.
