I just got some Iggee for Christmas. I have the tan seats, but the covers are black. I think they will look a lot better than the beat up driver seat, and I wanted more black to balance out all the tan carpet.
Not sure just how bad your seats are, but if they aren't tripped or torn you might consider re-dyeing them. That's what I did. Go to leatherique.com and and check out the info there. I redid my seats for around $100.
Look back at Ayles pics of his red/black Iggees, those are great pics of how they look and fit, then imagine them all black! I opted not to go with black for one thing due to generally driving with my glass top on and black seats would be deadly in the summer sun here; tan seats will give you a good enough burn.
I have an extra still new 92 C4 'glass' top, moonroof whatever you call it, still has the GM white covering stuck to it, a car wash damaged mine and were forced to buy me a new one which I've never put on. I'll take a pic and put it on Craigslist I guess. THanks all.
I recall having begun to install it and stopping due to what I don't recall but I'm sure there are tricks to it like everything. I posted it here in C4 parts for sale, no interest so far at $1050, I put it on Craigslist too.

I hear ya,the sun can be a pain!(I have a ragtop)I have all black seats right now and just wanted to see what the Iggies would look like as a possible cover for them as they are showing their age, especially the driver's side. The red & black may be the way to go for me,since the Old Girl is Torch Red.Thanks!
What do these iggee covers feel like? Do they actually feel like leather when you touch them or are they more like a plastic or like a vinyl type of feel?? If you know what I mean.. How do the holes line up on the sport seats for the lumbar controls??
That's about 1/6 the value of the whole car but, I just put $1200 into brakes and $600 into ball joints and front end stuff, so I guess I'm committed to doing it right. Would sure like to find a solution more in the $3-400 range if possible though. Must admit, something about the seats on my 34" inseam, they've always cut right into an uncomfortable place on my leg, having a new 'shape' to the seat would be nice.
thanks!
Check out the Livernois Motorsports special on the Corbeau seats right now. I got a quote for $480 for a pair of black A4's and they will mount to the stock power seat tracks with some minor mods. My friend had them in his '89 and they looked pretty good.
Hey, don't mean to hijack but I got Iggee's for christmas, and I love them, BUT I have 1 small problem maybe you can help me out with.
On the top of the seat, where the ribbed part is, the covers don't want to lie down between the bolsters, if pics are needed I'll go take them, but I think you can understand by description.
Is there any way to get them to lay down inbetween the bolsters, or should I just wait for them to relax, I already rubbed them down with leather conditioner to try and soften them, but theyre still puffy there.

If I had seat covers that fit like that, I'd send them back.....
To the orginial poster: if you don't like the way your present seats fit, and have $400 budgeted, then you don't have many options.
One thing you might try on the fit issue is swapping the driver and the passenger seats; if a PO hasn't already done this somewhere along the line, the passenger seat's foam will probably be in much better condition than the driver's side....and will feel significantly better. Yes, they are interchangeable, even if you just want to swap the seat bottoms.

Don't bet on it. There have been several threads in C4 Tech where different seats are discussed and the fitting of Corbeau's on the stock seat bases is one of the issues. TIP: Corbeau themselves say they will not.

I would in fact bet on it because I sat in the car before he sold it. He did it in one weekend and he has some fab skills but it wasn't rocket science or anything.
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jimnj4...m?.dir=154bre2 IV had them for about a month and they fit better with time,I guess the heat shrinks them a little. I love them. You might be able to see the old saddle seat.Only problem,Iggee seat colors didn't come in saddle,But I like the black.

I say don't bet on it because more people have said they won't FIT into the car on stock bases than have claimed that they have actually done it successfully. Its about a 2 to 1 ratio, which are long odds to bet against.
The main problem is seat height; placing them on stock bases raises the Corbeau (and most other aftermarket, rally-type seats) to the point that they hit the roof on coupes. Maybe your buddy had a vert, or didn't have the roof on (coupe)? Or maybe he had non-power seat bases (they could well be thinner than the power bases)?
There are some variables, obviously, or everyone would be able to do it, or everyone would be unable to do it.
What I said was, the odds are that they won't fit a particular car. I tried to fit aftermarket seats in my own C4, and they would not fit (hit the roof) when I tried to use the stock, power bases. Only by fabricating adapters to bolt the seats to the floor of the car, did they clear the roof, and then only by less than 2".

Power bases, vert and neither of us (both 6'2") hit our heads on the top. Either way, it's obviously not plug and play like seat covers.
Iggee's fit, took them to car upholstery shop...VELCRO
I took the car and the covers to a local top shop, they didn't see any way practical of improving the fit (which is overrall very good), because like the fellow says a few posts back, between the bolsters they don't fit flush to the seat back, they leave a gap. Now I've not put mine on permanently, when I saw that gap I removed them because I want to do it right. Maybe sun/heat would help but I don't see how really.
So I'm thinking of putting VELCRO in there, easy to do, I don't care about trashing the leather, it's already shot. A few strips in a few locations from the seat back to the seat bottom, maybe right along the bolster area??
When I do it I'll post the resulting pics and tips or warn ya' all off my stupid idea.
