10k resistor for reading ALDL?

Default 10k resistor for reading ALDL?
I'm trying to use Datamaster scanning software to get readings from the ALDL port on my 86. However, although WinALDL works just fine this one won't (it won't sync with the ALDL port, it says). It says something on the website about needing a 10k resistor modification in the interface - does anyone know what line gets the extra resistance, or if there's something more I need to do?

10K resistor bridging A & B on ALDL.

Thanks. So this is just soldered between the lines on the plug that connect to A and B?

Doesn't matter how you attach it as long as it bridges or connects between A & B.
