i have the trans out (no 3rd or 4th gear) and going to replace the Flexplate. it has a few teeth missing .the question is there are 2 flexplates for the car witch is a 1990 auto non ZR1. one is a heavy duty and the other is not the parts store has to order eather one (non stock idom) how do i tell the difference they are both calling for the same gm number and the one in the car is not factory the price difference is $45

There is a HD 1 pce flexplate listed for 168 tooth only.
Aftermarket HD flexplates are usually of thicker metal and the ring gear is welded both sides ; not on one side like stock.
