Water Pump Replacement...
Took the waterpump on my L98 off last night. I'm going to purchase a new one...probably AC Delco.
What are the advantages/disadvantages to installing an electric water pump? Are there any gains from doing this?
Thanks,
Dave :D

You should get more HP and better mileage. The possible downside may be cooling and complexity. But if you don't race it may not be worth it.

You will introduce an additional current draw on the alternator....100% of operating cycle. Corvette alternators are problematic at best, to begin with. In my opinion, let the crank take care of the cooling. Good luck!
