Miniram vs. Superram: Which is better?
The mini ram does fit under the stock hood.
I think it's the stealth ram that does not fit.

) I have a 3" cowl induction hood.

I thought it was pretty close with a stock hood, but not close enough. Maybe 1" but I have never seen one first hand.

The Superram is great SOP but power leveled off by @ 5400 using the 3.45 rear gear
The Miniram is the easy bolt on choice if you have a stick and or a decent rear gear, i.e. 3.45 or even (IMHO) 3.73.
I like the Stealth a fuzz better than the Miniram because the power band starts a little sooner than the MR. The Stealth picks begins its power surge at @ 3300-3400 RPM and by 3600 its jammin, in reality I wodl say that the 3600 RPM is the official start point, but it ramps up quickly from 3200 up.
I remember the Miniram not really beginning the power surge until @ 4200-4500RPM
Also as a foot note, the Superram tune was very clsoe to being the same as the HSR tune, the HSR needed more WOT/fuel.
You can alter the HSR plenum, and go to the smaller distributor and reroute your fuel lines and cut/weld a thermo housing, and then you are done.
With the right rear gear, IMHO a 3.73 and a Miniram, you are set.
I'm glad this is finially over

All you need to do now is put a carb on it and see what it does.
