I just purchased a 01 Camaro SS. Tomorrow I plan on disconnecting the skip shift connector on the tranny.I was told I needed a resistor. I looked in my 92 Vette service manual and the ECM feeds a relay for that circuit so there is no need for a resistor to fool the computer is the Camaro wired the same way?? Thanks to all who answer
Can be disabled in the ECM settings. Have the ECM flashed to have it disabled and it wont do anything then. If you just unplug it on a later model like that i think it will set a DTC (im not sure though)
I believe a code will set if it is just unplugged also the plug ends will be unprotected
I got a CAGS eliminator from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering very cheap and it just plugs right in
