I bypassed mine a couple weeks ago. The car seems to run stronger to me now. It is my first mod. ( I started with the cheapest thing first.)
I simply connected the two hoses removed from the TB with a cheap ( a buck or two) coupler (and 2 hose clamps) that I got at the auto part store.
If you splice the two lines, it looks like it belongs that way. If you cap two ends, it looks tampered with. (Also, I agree with the other responses that the continuity in the coolant line should be maintained).
